My name is Deacon Rajan Muthiah Fernando. I belong to St. Joseph Parish in Round Lake, IL. I am a deacon in Archdiocese of Chicago..
My wife Sheela and I are living in Round Lake Beach, IL. We have two children Anthony and Mary. Anthony is married and lives in Milwaukee, WI with his wife Deepa. Mary is married to Robert and they live in Louisville, KY. They have a daughter Gemma Maria Therese. My wife and I are originally from India. Our great great grand parents were converted to Christianity in the 1500s by evangelists who travelled with St. Francis Xavier.
Never heard of Spiritual Direction before I enrolled in the Diaconate Formation program that is part of Mundelein seminary, IL. It was mandatory for us to have a spiritual director during the program and now I am continuing to have one after ordination.
I clearly see the benefits of having a pair of eyes looking out for my spiritual life. So, I decided to help as many people as possible by becoming a spiritual director.
