Gratuity
There is no higher duty for me than to lead souls to Christ. Anything that I do for others for their temporal welfare might just help them while they are on earth. We are on earth for only about 100 years of our existence. Once we cross to the other side, we exist eternally without any end. The act of giving Spiritual Direction to people is to help them to attain this eternal life and be with God. How can we put a price for this service?
St. Paul in his first letter to Timothy says that those of us who care for others’ souls get double honor from God (1 Tim. 5:17). This verse gives motivation to me that God will recognize the work that I do. However, to be able to give Spiritual Direction takes a fair amount of time from my life and for family upkeep money is needed. I strongly believe that this money spent to get closer to Jesus is a sacrifice on the part of the directee. This financial support helps me to serve more people like you. I do not want financial situation to be a hindrance in getting Spiritual Direction. Prayerfully consider $35 / Hour. Typically we meet once a month. Each session will last 45-50 minutes, beginning at the mutually agreed upon time. I will spend another 10 minutes to reflect on our discussion.
